Heritage Accommodation
The first student at the newly opened seminary was Cecil Morkane who would become Monsignor Morkane. After completing his training at Holy Cross, Manly and in Rome he was ordained in 1907 and appointed curate at Lawrence. In 1910 he was appointed to the professorial staff at Holy Cross College and became Rector in 1920, remaining in that position until the College was committed to the charge of the Vincentian Fathers in 1934.
Originally called the 'North Wing' the hostel rooms provide a true heritage experience and a snap shot of what life was like at the Holy Cross College. These rooms provided a home for many men training towards their priesthood within the Catholic Church. Today we provide quality, warm and comfortable rooms.
In the hostel range of rooms we have three options available:

Guests staying in the hostel rooms have full access to the Morkane Wing Common Room. The common room includes a private lounge with Freeview TV, complimentary tea and coffee, fridge and freezer, dining room and full kitchen for self-cooking.
All single and twin hostel rooms have shared bathroom, shower and toilet facilities.
All rooms come with bed linen, pillows, electric blanket and towels including access to guest laundry with ironing facilities, washing machine and clothes dryer.
Other services available are free access to internet, cardio gym (coming soon) and daily newspaper.
